Ok, so I've kinda gotten a little behind so Im going to try and catch up, if I don't get you COMPLETELY Caught up tonight, I will do some tomarrow night as well. But I promise I will eventually get caught up!
So let me rewind to Wednesday. I got to Manhattan to pick up my Uhaul at 10am. As I pulled up I saw my Uhaul with the trailer already hooked up (I was thinking, this is a good sign!) So I rented the truck, and the guy helped me load my car on, I loaded up the girls and went to turn the airbags off and guess what. The key would turn but the airbags (on the passangers side would not turn off!) So basically the manager spent the next 2 hrs trying to figure out how to turn it off, we tried everything, and she kept calling different people to see if they knew any tricks. Finally after 2 hrs, I asked if there were any other places with trucks we could switch out with. So she made another call. And we found a 17'. So we headed over there. Soon as we got there the guy who had driven the original truck I was supposed to rent magically got the stupid thing to turn off!! So that was how long wasted?
Needless to say it was only thanks to my two friends Martina and Tuyet that we got the rest packed and the apartment cleaned by 8:30pm that night. The girls and I drove back only stopping in Salina at Freddy's for dinner. I had never eaten there before but I have to say I think they have the BEST Veggie burgers I've ever tasted!! and the fries?? Those are great too! (Ally says its my new favorite place to eat!, and she might be right) Kaylee cried for quite a while on the way home ,but finally the girls fell asleep. We made it home after 11 and I put them straight to bed.
I was up at 8am yesterday morning unloading the truck. Nancy came over at about 8:30 with Breakfast for Ally and to help me unload the 3 boxes I needed help with. And for the record I put ALL the boxes from the 2nd trip in the storage shed because I have absolutly no room ANYWHERE in my house to put them!
After that I returned the Uhaul, washed my car then met Nancy and Butch, at Roy's for my weekly fix. (Im telling you the food is so good there, its even a vegitarian's favorite.) Nancy brought the girls Easter Dresses she had bought for them, they are really cute, they are blue and match. I'll post pics after they wear them. After lunch I ran by Linda's store to drop off a suitcase Zach had borrowed from her in December 08! LOL. Oh and when I was putting it in my car I noticed there was something in it! I found Zach's Nintendo DS that he's been looking for for quite some time!
Then we went home and took a NICE LONG NAP! After which we went to Wal Mart and I got the oil changed. (yee haw) and got a few other things we needed. We went to Freddy's again for dinner.
While Ally watched Survivor and a few other shows we needed to catch up on. I emptied the cat box, took out the trash, did laundry and packed suitcases. Then packed the car at 10pm I left with the intention of driving thru the night to get to Denver. What I didn't know was about the thunderstorm I would encounter shortly after getting on W I-70. At first it was windy, and kept getting more windy (turns out I was fighting side winds in excess of 50mph) then it was raining (but had the yummy spring rain smell I love) and I got to watch an incredible lightning show of massive bolt lighting while I listened to talk radio. It took me almost an extra hour to get to Hays so I opted to just get a hotel room at the Hampton Inn. So that is just what I did.
This morning I woke up at 5 with my alarm going off, I decided I was still too tired to drive so I re set it for 6, still too tired so 7. at 7 I finally was able to rouse myself and the girls and get us the brown bag breakfasts and get back on the road.
Well Im tired, so I will catch up the rest of today tomarrow!!
Found out Zach is officially in Iraq now. Wish I would hear from him.
